Zenos E10 S

The reveal of the British made Zenos E10 road-going track day car back in January may well have slipped by you, it certainly managed to go unnoticed by a lot of people. Well that car that you never heard of just got a significant power boost. This means Zenos have released a whole load more images which we think look great and we hope you do too.

The E10 was already a nippy little motor but now they have slapped an S on the end of the name and dropped a 2.0 litre Turbocharged Focus RS engine in to the lightweight racer. This means a jump from 200 bhp to 250 bhp in a car that weighs 650 kg which works out to 358 bhp per ton!

As you might imagine, a car with that kind of power-to-weight ratio takes off quite quickly, well more than quite quickly, the E10 S will do 0-60 in around 4.5 seconds and will keep going up to 135mph. The top speed might not seem particularly fast but any faster than this in a car that has no roof or windows might have you pulling your own wobbly Clarkson-esque faces!

The other aspect of this quirky little car is affordability and we don’t just mean the price, while not exactly ‘cheap’ it is great value for that kind of performance (which rivals that of  the Ferrari 458). The E10 S is priced from £29,995 which is an increase of £5,000 on the standard E10 but the nice thing is that Zenos has built it so that it will be cheap to maintain which is most thoughtful of them.

If you are looking for an affordable track day car that you can also take on the road and want something other than the KTM Xbow or a Caterham then this might be for you and it should be available early next year!
