Fantastic news for Creditplus, as we won at the 2015 UK Blog Awards! The Creditplus blog was named as Best Company Automotive, beating out stiff competition from some fantastic blogs.

The awards took place in London last Friday, with over 350 top bloggers nervously waiting to find out if they had claimed the top prize. Arriving at the Montcalm Hotel, the awards venue, we were transported from the hustle and bustle of London, descending down into an “Alice In Wonderland” themed extravaganza, complete with the Mad Hatter running around and creating mischief.

Free cocktails from Gocompare and a steady supply of champagne did little to help the nerves as the countdown to the awards began. Our category was up second, after Arts and Culture. The first winner was Wiwibloggs, a Eurovision blog extremely popular with the audience. Having stolen the microphone to give his acceptance speech, the host said that no more speeches would be allowed – a relief as we had no idea what we would say. It was soon time for our category, with the fantastic WTF1.co.uk winning best Automotive Individual blog. At first there was a technical glitch, with the nominees not appearing on screen. Instead they went straight to the Highly Commended – the Intelligent Car Leasing and Contract Hire and Car Leasing blogs. Tension. The moment of truth arrived, and the Creditplus Blog was named the winner – Best Company Automotive Blog 2015!

It truly was a fantastic night, with the award being the icing on a very lovely cake. We met lots of fantastic bloggers and it was a thrill to be a part of such a vibrant digital community. The UK Blog Awards have just completed their second year of existence. Here’s to many more fantastic years (and many more wins!)
