Try to visualise four million cars. Just try it. It’s hard, isn’t it? A car will be, to most people, one of the biggest purchases they will ever make in their lives – and one which is only made a few times.
Somehow, though, Ford has managed to sell 4 million of its Fiesta model in the United Kingdom and a crazy 17 million worldwide since its debut way back in 1976.
On the 15th July 2013, a dealership in Sunderland waved goodbye to the 4-millionth Fiesta, a candy blue model sporting the fantastic new 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine.
Currently in its 6th generation (not counting the various “facelifts” each has received), the Fiesta has led the small car market for decades, and has been the overall number-one car in the UK since 2009.
