Whether you agree or disagree with Clarkson being sacked by the BBC, it’s hard not to feel that life is different without Top Gear. There’s less cars on television, less driving mayhem, less stupid challenges. Top Gear is impossible to replace. But there are some shows and youtube channels already online that can help fill that Clarkson, May and Hammond shaped hole in your heart. Here are seven of the best online car shows.

XCAR – For the love of cars

XCAR produce some of the best car videos online. Whilst they don’t have the budget of the famous TV show, they make up for it in enthusiasm and style. Combining review pieces with excellent documentaries and race videos, XCAR have the perfect blend of likable presenters, cool visuals, and fantastic cars. It’s definitely one of our favourite online car shows.

Jay Leno’s Garage

More famous across the pond than in the UK, Jay Leno hosted The Tonight Show for over 22 years. Alongside his chat show duties, Leno is also a massive car fan, with a collection of over 280 vehicles. Since retiring from late night television, Leno has began creating videos of some of the cars he owns for his online car show “Jay Leno’s Garage”. A combination of historical background and driving beautiful classic cars, the videos showcase some truly incredible automobiles.

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee

Another US based online car show, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee is exactly as it sounds. Jerry Seinfeld takes his friends out for a coffee. Thankfully, his friends are all famous comedians, admittedly US based. Seinfeld is also a huge fan of cars, owning more than 46 Porsches. In each episode, Seinfeld uses a different car from his extensive collection, providing a fantastic backdrop for each conversation. A perfect replacement for the “Star in a reasonably priced car” segment.

Ken Block

If you want a spectacular online car show, then you can’t get much better than the Hoonigan video channel, created by Ken Block. An ex rally driver, Block stages some fantastic videos of himself driving like a madman around famous locations. The highlight of his work is undoubtedly the Gymkhana series of videos. These really demonstrate how skilled he is as a driver. If you want fantastic car action, then these are the videos for you.

Tax The Rich

An anonymous group of British drivers take fantastic sports & luxury cars and then drive them to their limits. At first controversial (the drivers took the cars without permission), the popularity of their online car show soon meant the big companies were lining up to give them their cars to abuse. Fantastic supercars pushed to the limit.
