In advance of the Paris Motor Show 2014 this October, car manufacturers have begun announcing new cars that will be on display. Suzuki is the latest manufacturer to release details of what they will showcase in Paris, whilst Lexus have announced a new car on sale now. Nissan have also unveiled two new cars, including their latest Pathfinder, at the Moscow Motor Show taking place this week.
Preparation for the Paris Motor Show 2014 has gone up a gear, with Suzuki today announcing the premiere of their all-new Vitara. The five door car will bear the original famous Suzuki badge that was first used 25 years ago.
Available to UK buyers from Spring next year, the Suzuki Vitara will come with ALLGRIP intelligent four wheel drive, as well as new technology to reduce CO2 emissions and make the car more fuel efficient. The Vitara will have several personalisation options including colour and trim customisation.
More details will be revealed at the Suzuki press conference, taking place at the Paris motor show on Thursday 2nd October.
In Moscow, Nissan have unveiled two new models. The Nissan Pathfinder and the Russian-built new Nissan Sentra, built and designed with Russian consumers in mind.
The Pathfinder will come with a standard 3.5L petrol engine and be fitted with an intelligent 4×4 system that will make driving easier. The latest generation X-tronic transmission also comes as standard, meaning the new Pathfinder will have all-road capabilities, no matter what the weather may be.
In addition to the standard Pathfinder, a hybrid version is also being launched with a 2.5l petrol engine. This will be the first hybrid to be produced by the St Petersburg plant.
The other car unveiled in Moscow was the Sentra, built in conjunction with AvtoVAZ, Russia’s largest automaker. The new C-segment sedan comes with a 1.6l petrol engine and two transmission options – 5 speed manual or X-tronic. The Sentra has been designed with a high ground clearance and comfortable suspension, ideal for all Russian road conditions.
Away from the motor shows, Lexus have released the new RX 450h Advance. The Advance model comes with the Mark Levinson premium 7.1 surround sound system, regularly retailing at £1,000. This package also comes with a DVD player, rear-view camera and Remote Touch audio and navigation control system.
Matching the spec of the RX 450h Luxury, the Advance model has been built upon the established luxury grade to match the quality, innovation and effiency that comes with being a full hybrid SUV. The 3.5 litre V6 engine and a powerful electic motor provide 295bhp, giving 0-60mph in under eight seconds.
The Lexus RX 450H Advance retails for £48,495
