Lamborghini have released a teaser image ahead of the Paris Motor Show where they will reveal a brand new car. The exact nature of the new car is a closely guarded secret with speculation rife that it could be a new four door model.

The identity of the new car will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show which takes place from the 4^th to 19^thof October. The sole image released by Lamborghini contains an almost abstract outline of the top of a car that is held in a deep shadow. It resembles the Lamborghini fastback shape style, but the lines give nothing away just yet. The tagline reads “Once perfection is achieved, you can just double it”.

This has led to increased speculation that the new car will either be a four door or four seater variant of an existing model. Lamborghini have been considering the release of a four door car for a long time, seeing a potential new market for them to enter. Another theory posits that this could finally be the release of the Lamborghini Estoque, a concept car first displayed back in 2008 that has had its production delayed and rumoured ever since. Whoever works in marketing at Lamborghini certainly deserves a raise as the teaser image has really spread discussion and speculation ahead of the car’s launch.

Following the Huracán

The new model will follow the Lamborghini Huracán that went on sale this year. Named after the Mayan god of wind, storm and fire, and also after a famous bull from the 1870s, the Huracán went on sale for around £200,000. 1,000 orders of the car have been made since it and its variants went on sale earlier this year. Achieving 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds, the 5.2 litre V10 engine makes the Huracán incredibly fast. Whatever the mystery model could be, it has very large footsteps to follow.
