All through 2019, you will find the perfect car show taking place to sate your petrolhead desires. Here are our pick for the highlights on 2019’s event calendar.

British Grand Prix: Friday 12th – Sunday 14th July at Silverstone Racing Circuit

If you love motorsport, then the British Grand Prix will already be on your list. But it’s not just about Formula One. In fact the entire three day event has become a festival celebration British motoring. Whether you camp out on the grounds for the duration or just visit for a day, there will be plenty of motoring excitement to get your engine revving. And chances are, Britain’s Lewis Hamilton will smash it out on the track, meaning you can celebrate in style with other British racing fans.

CarFest: North: Friday 26th – Sunday 28th July at Bolesworth Estate, Cheshire
South: Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th August at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire

Chris Evans may have left his slot at BBC Radio 2, but the festival celebrating motoring continues to go from strength to strength. Everyone knows that Evans is a massive petrolhead, with a fleet of classic Ferraris just some of the cars in his collection. You can expect to see these and many more all sorts of weird and wonderful cars at the event. But if you are the only petrolhead in your family, CarFest has everything to keep the family happy. Live music from some of the UK’s most popular acts, comedy shows from the nation’s funny people, and even cooking demonstrations from top chefs. What makes it even better is that it is all raising money for a good cause – BBC Children In Need.

Silverstone Classic - Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July at Silverstone racing Circuit

A fortnight after the British Grand Prix, head back to Silverstone to see some less futuristic cars being raced around at breakneck speeds. A ticket to the Silverstone Classic not only gives you a front-row seat to the vintage racing action, but you also get access to all the racing paddocks and displays. Last year, there were over 10,000 classic cars on display. Expect to see some more this year.

Salon Privé - Sunday 8th September at Blenheim Palace

For those who want a more prestigious event, Salon Privé puts the ‘class’ in classic. Expect to see supercars, hypercars and classic cars that would put more than a substantial dent in anyone’s bank balance. Perfect to get up close to cars that you dream about buying everytime you purchase a lottery ticket. You might also want to bring a packed lunch, as it’s not just the cars that are on the pricy side. Luxury retail stands and haute cuisine complete the very expensive package.

Beaulieu International Autojumble - Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th September at Beaulieu Motor Museum

Looking for some spare parts for your car? Fancy upgrading the stereo on your motor? Or looking for those odd accessories that show you love your car a little too much? The Beaulieu International Autojumble is perfect for those scavenging for the parts they need. Over two thousand stands, hundreds of cars, and a lot of grease.

Goodwood Revival - Friday 13th - Sunday 15th September at Goodwood Circuit

Fancy some fancy dress to go with some fancy cars? The Goodwood Revival is an event like no other, where you are requested to put on some vintage clothes, pull on some driving gloves, and take a trip back in time. Celebrating all thins motorsport – both on two wheels and four, embrace your inner Jim Clark at this unique car show.

Classic Motor Show - Sunday 10th November at the NEC in Birmingham

Today’s British motor industry might not be as strong as it once was. So why not celebrate the classic British car companies like Austin and MG, as well as hundreds of other vintage motors from all across the globe. Get close to the classic of your dreams. Attend one of the many events and talks from classic car experts. Find your next classic car or project at one of the dealers in place. And, if you want to spend more time with classic car enthusiasts who love their old bangers as much as you do, sign up with one of the many classic car clubs in attendance.

Truckfest - Saturday 5th – Sunday 6th October at Newark & Notts Showground

Sometimes bigger is simply better. And you can’t get much bigger than Truckfest. There are several events under this name taking part across the country, but the original and best is at the start of October. So whether you are an Eddie Stobart fan boy, or have often dream about becoming one of those Big Rig drivers in the US, Truckfest lets you live the dream for a little while. And on the positive side – you have plenty of time to work on your trucker’s arm before the event takes place.

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2020

Unfortunately, one of the greatest events on the car show calendar has just finished. Taking place in early July every year, the Goodwood Festival of Speed showcases cars from all sorts of classes, time periods and price ranges!

You will see a whole range of concept and brand new cars being shown off, getting up close to cars that won’t be available for a year or two, if they ever get mass-produced! There are a huge range of classic cars, from early Ford Model Ts to beautiful Jaguar E-Types. And if you want to see one of the most iconic racing events in action, then the hill climb attracts racing drivers and motorsport enthusiasts from all over the world.

So mark it down on the calendar for 2020 and keep an eye out for when tickets go on sale.
