3. Phone Charger

While it's important to remember that you should never use your mobile phone while driving, having a charger in your car gives you the security of knowing that should anything happen, you'll have a fully charged phone to call for help.

Which type you get will depend on how old your car is, and what type of phone you have, but you can normally pick them up quite cheap. Trust us, they're well worth having.

4. Emergency Hammer

Heaven forbid you're ever in this situation, but should you find yourself trapped in your car, having one of these could be invaluable. While you can remove your headrests and use its metal poles to smash the window, having one of these to hand could buy you precious seconds.

5. Ice Scraper Glove

Spring may be here, but this is England after all! You never know when you might need to scrape ice off your windscreen and when that happens, the last thing you want is to be struggling with a credit card, while your fingers threaten to fall off.

Of course, you can get sensible looking gloves, but why wouldn't you want yeti hands?
